'tot[am] ill[am] pastur[am] vocat Bramston Holme continen[t] p[er] estimac[ionem] 35 acr[as] ...' Branston Holme was south of the village in a loop of the Tatenhill brook. The tenants of Branston took a lease of the pasture in 1546:
