Under heading Cottars in Borton, "Roger de Borton holds 168 acres in Casses, Arlees, Wetewode, Iamesbrich, Westwode and Frechesfeld"
Nigel Tringham has transcribed as "Fretheffeld", ie FretheFeld, but the horizontal stroke starts at the second "f", whereas for the first ff it goes through both.
The ch/th transcription could be either, but the cross stroke starts left of the upright, so may indeed be "th". |
