Notes Fostonhethe recorded in Tubury Honor accounts. Foston is on the northern Derbyshire side of the Dove from Tutbury. A Staffordshire parish has to be selected and so Tutbury has been selected. On 25th May 1645, Charles I and Prince Rupert en route from Chester to Leicester held a rendez-vous on Foston Heath before proceeding to Tutbury Castle. VCH Staffordshire Vol. X: 29.
